Alterium is built on top of existing Layer 1 blockchain technologies using a unique Layer 2 architectural design. This architecture enables off-chain processing of transactions while still ensuring the security and trustworthiness of the underlying blockchain.
Alterium's architecture consists of various off-chain nodes that can process transactions quickly and efficiently. These nodes then communicate with the main chain to confirm the final state of these transactions, dramatically improving transaction speed and scalability.
